Our Story
The story of Trinnity begins when the three daughters of Christina Majakari found sweatshirts and sweaters hidden in the back of their mothers sewing studio cupboard. What they found to their surprise was a selection of outdoor clothing and fashion samples still wrapped in their original packaging designed and made by their mum back in the 1980s.
Sofia (above), Emilia, and Daniella began wearing the clothes, and the excitement around them encouraged Christina to reimagine the vintage collection.
Christina lives in the Jungfrau region in the Swiss Bernese Oberland, the home of the renowned Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. Inspired by landscape and people who live and visit the area from all over the world, Trinnity was launch in 2023.
Christina grew up on a rural farm in South Sweden. At 18 she left the farm to travel, explore Europe and learn languages. During her adventures she fell in love with the Alps. Christina arrived in the iconic alpine town of Chamonix, France in the mid-eighties.
Christina lived in the roof top studio above the Hotel Couronne in Argentière, arguably the epi-center of extreme skiing during the 1980's. Inspired by her new environment, she begins putting her passion for crafting and designing clothes to work.
Christina say's that
"We were a group of friends living in one of the most amazing environments in the world, pushing the boundaries of skiing at the time, and having the time of our lives".
She goes on to say_
"I wanted my designs to express the positive, vibrant, and optimistic outlook we had towards life. I used natural materials as much as possible in my designs, and created a cut and shape that offered freedom and movement. These values have proven timeless and very relevant today as they were back in the 1980s".
